Rio Grande City is gearing up to host the 11th Annual Chili Showdown Cook-Off on Saturday, February 2, 2018. This annual event will be held at the Britton Avenue Kiosk in Rio Grande City's historic downtown and will feature a variety of food booths, vendors, and live music by Grupo Pegasso, Lucky Joe, Frutty Villarreal y Los Mavericks and many more. Cooking categories include pan de campo, fajitas, charro beans and chili.
