Rio Grande City native, Dr. Patricia Laurel-Garza and her husband, Dr. Delfino Randy Garza celebrated the debut of their new medical practice, Doctors Clinic of Rio Grande City, with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Members of the Rio Grande City EDC and RGC Commissioners welcomed the crowd of over 50 guests, as the doctors showcased their passion and efforts in the restoration of the aged building located in Historic Downtown Rio Grande City.
“I’d like to thank my wife for having the vision for the restoration of the building, inside and
out,” Dr. Delfino Randy Garza said. “Her attention to detail is a reflection on how she treats her patients and I want to thank our family for this wonderful blessing of a clinic we have together.”
“We want to thank all of our friends, family and patients. It was a challenge getting our
computers installed and coordinating with insurance companies to get on board with us and we want to thank you for your patience,” Dr. Patricia Laurel-Garza said. “This has been a dream of ours for several years and we knew we wanted to be downtown.”
Dr. Patricia Laurel-Garza specializes in Internal Medicine and Dr. Delfino Randy Garza is a
General Surgery Specialist.

Having one of them be homegrown and the other be a general surgeon, also from a rural community, who is not only willing but also enthusiastic about operating at Starr County Memorial Hospital is a double blessing.
