Historic Downtown is ready for Halloween

Historic Downtown Rio Grande City is about to get a lot more ghostly this year with two spook-tacular events that will scare your socks off.

First, Rio Grande City’s Unexplained Mysteries Conference & Festival is taking place on October 26th on Garza Street and La Borde House. This event will feature horror stories of Texas by Jon Gonzalez and a paranormal investigation workshop presented by South Texas Paranormal. Activities include: haunted tours at La Borde House and on the Bessie III Trolley, costume contest, painted pumpkin contest, car show and much more.

Then, on October 31st, Rio Grande City Main Street presents, Halloween on Main. Downtown Rio Grande City businesses will set out candy and welcome trick-or-treaters and their parents for a Halloween adventure from 5 pm to 7 pm.

“Last year we welcomed over 600 trick-or-treaters and we look forward to another great year,” said Nancy Perez, Main Street and Business Development Coordinator.
