The UTRGV Small Business Development Center, in partnership with the Rio Grande City EDC, Rio Grande City Public Library, Starr County Industrial Foundation and RGV Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, held a Financial Statement Analysis for Small Business Owners workshop presented by Ismael Delgado at the UTRGV at Starr County Campus in Rio Grande City. The workshop was partly sponsored by the BBVA Compass Foundation. Many local business owners and others from Roma and McAllen had the opportunity to gain insight on the essentials of business ownership, the importance of profit & loss statements, equity and much more.
The UTRGV Small Business Development Center provides seminars and workshops that are free and available to the public. They are geared towards small business owners who are interested or are in need of information regarding topics like finance, customer service and steps on how to open a business. The SBDC provides free, individual business counseling and low-cost advanced training to help find practical solutions for small businesses.
