With the Winter Texan season in full swing, Rio Grande City EDC staff attended the 25th Annual Winter Texan Expo and Health Fair held at the McAllen Convention Center to promote Rio Grande City and showcase the Bessie III Trolley Tour. This two day event saw over 8,000 attendees and featured various businesses and attractions the Rio Grande Valley has to offer for visitors from all over the country and the world.
“We’ve met people from all over the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom and are very excited to offer our trolley tours highlighting downtown Rio Grande City and Fort Ringgold as well,” said Nancy Perez of Rio Grande City EDC.
The trolley tours, provided by the Rio Grande City EDC, entertain and educate visitors about Rio Grande City historic downtown’s historical buildings and landmarks such as the Grotto of Lourdes, La Borde House and the Silverio de la Pena Building to name a few. In addition, after the tour, visitors have the opportunity to stop at the various shops and eateries that make up the Main Street business community in downtown Rio Grande City.
