A groundbreaking ceremony was held June 30 for a new state-of-the-art medical development center to be built in Rio Grande City.
DHR Health, Starr County, Starr County Industrial Foundation, City of Rio Grande City, Rio Grande City Economic Development Corporation and Starr County Memorial Hospital are partners in the new venture.
The center will include a medical laboratory, residency program and housing, medical offices and research facility.
Rio Grande City Economic Development Council’s executive director, Dalinda Guillen was interviewed at the event by Rio Grande Guardian International News Service reporter Julia Rodriguez.
