Rio Grande City Main Street Program hosted the Annual Michelada Madness Contest at Viva Mexico on Saturday, September 7 at the Britton Avenue Quiosco (Kiosk) in Historic Downtown Rio Grande City.
Rio Grande City Main Street is very grateful to the contestants, volunteers, judges, and sponsors including, L & F Distributors, Cindy Barrera Insurance, Rio Grande City Main Street Advisory Board, Martha Garcia, Daniel Perez, David Hernandez from BBVA Compass Bank, Jose Ramirez from BBVA Compass Bank, Marlen Mendoza from Mendoza’s Auto Sales, Martin Guerrero, and Rio Grande City Commissioners Flor E. Flores and David “Chachi” Jones.
“We’d like to thank everyone that came out and made this event a great success,” said Nancy Perez, Main Street and Business Development Coordinator. “We look forward too seeing everyone again next year.”
Rio Grande City’s Viva Mexico event was named 2018 Best Promotional Event by the Texas Downtown Association’s President’s Award Program.
The Rio Grande City Main Street Program provides many opportunities to get involved. Anyone interested in volunteering is encouraged to visit the Rio Grande City Main Street office at 406 E. Main Street.
