Reyna Construction was recognized as the Large Business of the Year by the Rio Grande Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce during the annual Noche de Gala awards ceremony on May 15, 2025, in Mission, Texas.

“We are incredibly honored to be nominated for and receive this award. Reyna Homes was founded more than two decades ago by just the three of us, and this moment is a true milestone in our journey.

I want to express my deepest gratitude to my wife of 29 years for her unwavering support—through every high and low, she’s been my rock and my best friend. This recognition also belongs to our dedicated staff, whose hard work and commitment continue to drive our success.

We hope this achievement serves as inspiration to other entrepreneurs and small businesses in our community. It reminds us to keep growing, improving, and giving back.

Thank you to our friends, local leaders, and supporters—from the City of Rio Grande, Starr County, and the Rio Grande City EDC—for celebrating with us. Your presence means the world to us.

We are truly blessed and motivated to continue being a positive example in our community.” - David Reyna

The award celebrates Reyna Construction’s continued excellence in business leadership, community impact, and contributions to economic development across the Rio Grande Valley. Since its founding in 2001, Reyna Construction has grown from a small renovation-focused business into a respected leader in new home construction.

Originally founded as Reyna Construction, the company specialized in home renovations and partnered with private clients and federal programs such as the USDA. Over time, its vision expanded, leading to a rebrand as Reyna Homes and a transition into new home construction. In 2010, the company was awarded the CACOST Weatherization Program, enabling it to remodel homes for low-income families across multiple counties in South Texas.

Reyna Homes remains family-owned and operated, guided by strong leadership, a dedicated team of professionals, and lasting partnerships with customers, lenders, and suppliers.

Each year, the RGV Hispanic Chamber’s Noche de Gala celebrates outstanding Hispanic-owned and Hispanic-supporting businesses that exemplify innovation, growth, and community involvement throughout the region.

Reyna Homes extends its deepest gratitude to the RGV Hispanic Chamber for this meaningful honor and looks forward to continuing its mission of building with purpose and pride throughout South Texas.
