Dalinda Guillen, Rio Grande City EDC Executive Director, Nancy Perez, Rio Grande City EDC Main Street and Business Development Coordinator, and Ted Rivera, Main Street Advisory Board member attended the 1st Annual Inner City Housing Summit as part of continuing professional development. The Laredo Housing Authority hosted the summit on Wednesday, April 24 at La Posada Hotel in downtown Laredo.
“This summit provided an opportunity to gain insight on how our neighbors are tackling redevelopment concerns of their city centers and downtowns,” said Dalinda Guillen, Rio Grande City Main EDC Executive Director.
Topics at the summit included kickstarting private investment through preservation, the value of investing, leveraging resources and to foster community by promoting residential revitalization in downtowns.
