Rio Grande City Main Street’s long-running video series continues to highlight the heart of local businesses

Ongoing campaign showcases the people, passion, and purpose behind Main Street’s small businesses

For the past several years, Rio Grande City’s Main Street’s “Meet Me Downtown" video series has been shining a spotlight on the small businesses that define the spirit of our downtown. This ongoing initiative celebrates the entrepreneurs, family-owned shops, and local landmarks that give our community its character and charm.

Each video in the “Meet Me Downtown” series offers a personal look into a different small business, sharing the unique stories, challenges, and successes of the people behind it. From longtime favorites to newer ventures, the series captures the energy and authenticity of downtown life.

“’ Meet Me Downtown’ is an effective tool in our marketing and storytelling efforts,” said Melinda Gomez, Rio Grande City EDC Communications Coordinator. “It’s a way to consistently celebrate the individuals who pour their hearts into their work and contribute so much to the vitality of our downtown.”

The video series has become a key tool in Main Street’s mission to support local commerce, increase community engagement, and promote economic growth. Videos are shared across social media platforms, the Rio Grande City Main Street website, and events, helping to drive awareness and attract traffic to featured businesses.
